If you are a writer interested in getting your work published on Affinity online, we are currently accepting submissions for consideration. Submissions must be California Community College-centric and support the aims of Affinity magazine.
Some examples of stories include alumni, student, or faculty profiles, California Community College news, and highlights of California Community College, student, alumni, and faculty accomplishments. Other types of articles may also be considered. Stories should be original work that has not already been published.
Submission guidelines:
- Format: Word document
- Length: 600–1,000 words (flexible)
- Photos: Photos are not required to accompany submissions; however, they will be requested should your story be selected for publication.
If your story is published, you will receive full credit; we do not guarantee that submissions will be published. Accepted stories will be edited for spelling, punctuation, grammar, clarity, space, and consistency in tone with our editorial style. By submitting your article to Affinity online, you are granting us permission to publish and archive your article on our website.
Affinity also accepts campus news briefs or announcements for its Campus Notes department. Entries should be no more than 100 words and may include college and campus news, accomplishments, or milestones; student achievements or recognition; faculty accomplishments; and major alumni or donor announcements.
